On May 10th Pastor Ray Kloetstra and his wife Gloria retired from serving Mindemoya Missionary Church after almost 32 years!
With Covid-19 restrictions in place, a creative plan was put together and a joyous celebration and send-off took place! We all gathered in our vehicles at the community center parking lot in town and proceeded to do a drive by “parade” in front of Ray and Gloria’s home. Cars were decorated and cheerful messages of love, goodbyes and happy retirement wishes were displayed. After each family had a moment in their drive-through driveway to say goodbye, we all went around the block again, blasting our horns in jubilant expression of our love for our pastor and his wife.
Even though we had hoped for a very different farewell, God blessed us to be able to say goodbye in this very special way. Ray and Gloria have moved to Southern Ontario to be near their children and grandchildren and we pray God’s richest blessings on this new chapter of their lives!
